Meets

No Rice is an enthusiast’s gathering that meets regularly at a fixed location. However, please remember that these gatherings are held on public land, with attendees coming of their own accord and at their own risk.

As such, the No-Rice forum and admin team hold absolutely no responsibility for any attendees of the meet, and consequently are not responsible for the actions of any attendees. For all legal intents and purposes, the No-Rice meet is a public car park and any problems, accidents, damages or theft should be dealt with as they would be in any other situation, i.e. through personal settlement, motor insurance or the police.

Shows

The same rules that apply to meets apply to shows that No-Rice attends as a club, with the exception of any activities undertaken specifically as a club. (Basically, if we organise a No Rice brick-lobbing tournament at a show then you can blame us if we break your windscreen.)

Organised events

The event organiser is responsible for events organised by No-Rice specifically for No-Rice members (camping trips, rallies etc.) only to the extent of the nature of the event and any activities undertaken as a club during the event. Individual activities are undertaken at your own risk. (Again, if we organise a camping trip in the tiger pen at the zoo then you can blame us if a tiger attacks you. However if we camp next to the zoo and you get in the pen yourself, on your head be it.)

Classifieds

All items bought, sold or traded in the classifieds are done so at the buyer’s risk, and No-Rice take no responsibility for any problems with classifieds transactions. Given that, the admin team will try to help resolve any problems that arise in the classifieds as best as is reasonable, and will co-operate fully with the relevant authority in the case of any crime.

Please note, for legal purposes the role of “administrator” applies solely to the No-Rice internet forum and website and consists of forum moderation only – in no way does it imply organisation, marshalling or responsibility of or for the monthly meet. Similarly, the “event organiser” refers to the specific person or people who organised the event in question – not the whole forum or admin team.
